Symbolic Statement

 

In the video, the Director of the National Museum emphasizes that the Roma people and their culture an an integrated part of the Albanian nation.

 

 

The institution ‘National Museum’ personifies the history lived by a nation: it is the memory of a country and a linking bridge between the past and the future.

 

 

The representation of Roma culture in the National Museum  of Albania symbolizes legitimacy and implies acknowledgment and integration into the Albanian cultural heritage, in short: the opposite of social exclusion.

 

 

The display of Roma traditional clothes and other outings representing Roma culture influences the understanding and appreciation of  the Albanian population.
